“He’s a Wolfpacker now,” said Savannah (Tenn.) Hardin County coach Anthony Gilchrist of his star player, Justin Flatt.
Gilchrist said that Flatt signed his letter-of-intent this morning at 8:15 a.m., and promptly faxed it to the NC State basketball office. Gilchrist said that Flatt has been extremely “excited” all day, and that won’t change this afternoon.
Hardin County will have a ceremony honoring Flatt at 4 p.m. today, in which the local media will be in attendance, including the Jackson Sun and the Savannah Courier.
Even though Gilchrist said that Hardin County is “down in the boondocks,” he expected a large turnout to honor Flatt.
And with Flatt’s shooting ability and well-rounded game, there is certain to be some celebration in Raleigh as well.
