NC State senior defensive end Bradley Chubb returned to the Wolfpack for the 2017 season despite being a surefire draft pick after his junior year and has turned himself in a potential top-10, or better, pick in the NFL Draft next spring after earning unanimous All-America honors and setting the school records for sacks and tackles for loss.

Perhaps nobody watched that story unfold closer than junior defensive end teammate Darian Roseboro, who would face a similar decision after this season.

Roseboro has already made up his mind and will return to Raleigh for his final year of eligibility.

"There's been a lot of talk about me leaving NC State and declaring for the draft," he wrote on Twitter Sunday night. "After discussing everything with my family, I have decided to return for my senior year. There's a lot I want to accomplish as a player and as a student. I made a promise to my father to graduate with my degree. I want to do it the right way, and this is the right way and the right thing for me. Look forward to seeing y'all in El Paso!!!! Go Pack!!!!"

Roseboro totaled seven sacks and 11 tackles for loss as a sophomore in 2016, and notched 2.5 sacks and seven tackles for loss this past fall.

He was nominated for the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award after starring in the Pack's 35-17 win over Pittsburgh Oct. 14, seven days after his father, Johnny, passed away. Roseboro never missed a day of practice and dedicated the game to his late father before leading the team with three tackles for loss in the victory, in addition to a sack and a forced fumble. He was also awarded a game ball by head coach Dave Doeren for his performance.

Roseboro enters his final year in Raleigh with 23.5 career tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks. He could take a starring role on the defensive line, though, after the Pack loses all four senior starters up front and eight overall from the defense.

For a comparison, Chubb entered his senior year with 34 tackles for loss and 16 sacks before ending it with his new school-record totals of 60 and 26, respectively.
