Charges dropped against players
According to a report on WRAL.com, drug-related charges against senior offensive tackle Jake Vermiglio and redshirt junior defensive tackles Markus Kuhn and J.R. Sweezy have been dismissed. Charges against redshirt junior tight end George Bryan have been continued to a later date.
The four are expected to play big roles for NC State this season. Bryan was a first-team All-ACC selection in 2009, while Vermiglio started the entire season at left tackle. Both Kuhn and Sweezy were expected to contend for starting jobs along the defensive line.
