Camden Wentz, Dontae Johnson honored by ACC

A pair of NC State players were honored as ACC Players of the Week for their performances on Saturday in the Wolfpack's 37-6 win over Wake Forest. Senior center Camden Wentz was named as the league's Offensive Lineman of the Week, while junior Dontae Johnson was named the co-Defensive Back of the Week.
Wentz, who made his 36th consecutive start at center and is the only lineman on the team to start every game in the same position this year, recorded 13 knockdown blocks and helped the Pack rack up 428 yards of offense, including 170 on the ground. Quarterback Mike Glennon was sacked just two times, and Wentz posted the line's top grade of 88 percent, while he was in for 86 plays from scrimmage.
Johnson was tasked with shutting down Wake Forest star Michael Campanaro, who is averaging 8.5 receptions and 86.3 yards receiving per game, and did a stellar job. The wide out was limited to five catches for just 14 yards, and Johnson finished with five solo tackles, including one for loss, and a forced fumble.
