All-ACC basketball teams announced
North Carolina State freshman center J.J. Hickson was a unanimous choice to the ACC all-freshman team and earned honorable mention all-conference after his standout first season.
The 6-foot-9, 245-pounder from Marietta, Ga., averaged 14.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game for the 15-15 Wolfpack.

Hickson was joined on the all-freshman team by Duke's Kyle Singler, Virginia Tech's Jeffrey Allen and the Wake Forest duo of Jeff Teague and James Johnson.
Hickson's numbers dipped a little in the 16 ACC games, but he tied for third on the team with a 12.5 points per game average, and led the Wolfpack with 8.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game.
