Hall of Fame video interview: Pitcher Mike Caldwell



NC State baseball great Mike Caldwell, the 1971 ACC Player of the Year and a member of the historic 1968 team that finished third nationally, took some time to talk with The Wolfpacker about his time in Raleigh before he was inducted into the Hall of Fame on Nov. 22, 2013.

General Information

Drafted in 12th round of 1971 MLB Draft.
Made major league debut Sept. 4, 1971.

Played for the Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres and Cincinnati Reds.
Won a career-high 22 games in 1978 and finished second in the Cy Young Award voting and 12th in MVP voting.
Had a major league-leading 23 complete games in 1978.
Winning pitcher in two games for Milwaukee in 1982 World Series.
