The numbers that mattered: NC State at Duke



3 Touchdowns scored by Duke redshirt freshman DeVon Edwards, who ran a kickoff back 100 yards and then also had a pair of pick-sixes.

3 Interceptions thrown by NC State. Redshirt senior Brandon Mitchell threw two and redshirt junior Pete Thomas accounted for one. The two have combined for a 4-to-15 touchdown-to-interception ratio this year.

4 Turnovers forced by NC State, including three interceptions. Safety Hakim Jones led the way with an interception, forced fumble and fumble recovery, to go along with three tackles. Linebackers D.J. Green and Robert Caldwell also recorded INTs.

103 NC State sophomore running back Shadrach Thornton rushed 26 times for 103 yards, his second 100-yard rushing effort in his last three games; he ran for 90 in the other.

106.5 In the last four games, Thornton averages 106.5 rushing yards per contest. He has scored twice and averaged 4.7 yards per tote during that span.
