Bo Hines is first to pull the trigger

NC State became the first school to offer speedster Bo Hines a scholarship on Feb. 21.

The three-star from Charlotte (N.C.) Christian has been to campus multiple times since and the wide receiver returned again on Tuesday, when he made his commitment to the Wolfpack, becoming NC State's first commitment in the class of 2014.

Hines confirmed via text message with The Wolfpacker of his decision.

Hines caught 45 passes for 794 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior, while he also rushed 30 times for 180 yards and two scores and took a kickoff the distance.

Then, he was one of the best in attendance at the Best of the Midwest Combine in Indianapolis on Feb. 18. The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 4.41 seconds and was listed by Rivals.com as the third best player at the event. He was also named the wide receiver positional MVP.

Hines picked NC State over offers from Nebraska, East Carolina and others.
