NC State's 2013 football schedule released
NC State had already announced that they would be playing eight homes games this fall. Now Wolfpack fans have dates to go with them.
Highlighting the 2013 football schedule released by the ACC Monday afternoon is a Thursday night home game against Clemson Sept. 19. The Tigers are expected to be the preseason favorite and one of the top teams in the country next season.
The last time NC State hosted a Thursday night game was when the Pack defeated No. 16 Florida State 28-24 in 2010 thanks to a late Russell Wilson-to-George Bryan touchdown pass on fourth and goal followed by a fumble recovery by linebacker Nate Irving inside the NCSU 10 with the Noles threatening to get a go-ahead touchdown in the final minute.
The Pack will have a bye before playing Clemson. State also gets a bye before going to Florida State Oct. 26.
NC State will also get to play all four in-state FBS schools for the first time since the Pack famously swept them all in 2008. NC State will host archrival North Carolina Nov. 2, and East Carolina comes to Raleigh Nov. 23. The Pack will travel to Wake Forest Oct. 5 and Duke Nov. 9.
NC State closes the regular season by hosting Maryland Nov. 30 in what will likely be the Terps' final ACC football game.
