Quotable: "Davis has the ability to get to the football, demonstrating good production against the pass and run. Has the size and athleticism for the outside linebacker position at the major level of competition; his frame appears capable of handling addition bulk over time." - ESPN.
Recruitment: Davis committed to Minnesota last summer and seemed Big 10-bound until a little over a week before signing day. A few days after picking up a late offer from NC State, Davis made the switch to play for his hometown team Jan. 24.
Recruiter of record: Defensive coordinator Mike Archer
2012 projection: There may be an opening for early playing time at linebacker if Davis makes a quick impression during preseason camp, but odds probably favor him redshirting.
