Several New Jersey stars earn MVP awards at Nike

There really is no off-season for high school juniors who are trying to catch the eye of college coaches. On Sunday, some of the region's top athletes put their skills on display when the Nike Camp rolled into Piscataway. Although no college coaches are allowed at the event, a good performance can boost a player's chances of acquiring more interest and more offers.

Perhaps the most exciting part of the day came when the wide receivers tested their skills against the defensive backs, as the quarterbacks battled volatile winds, during the one-on-one portion of the combine.

DeVier Posey looked every bit the part of a Division I receiver as he took home the MVP award for wide receivers. The future Buckeye made the journey all the way from Ohio and stood out head and shoulders above the rest of the field. Posey's stiffest competition came every time he lined up across from Seton Hall Prep defensive back Grant Mayes, whose stock has been rising ever since the Elite College Combine.
