Mackey updates his recruitment

NC State will keep a close eye on the Hargrave Military Academy defensive line this fall. Commitment Kyle Linney plays defensive tackle, and ends Quinton Coples and Leon Mackey both claim offers from the Pack.

Mackey, 6-foot-5, 260 pounds, was ranked the top player in the state of Delaware after starring at Christiana High in Newark, Del., before moving to Chatham, Va., to enroll at Hargrave. After his game against Louisburg (N.C.) College last Sunday, Mackey talked with The Wolfpacker about his performance.

"I just learned that I need to play faster and harder," Mackey said. "That's what I am trying to get, just more experience and playing against better competition."
