Maddox used to filling big shoes
Last season was a year of mixed results for sophomore linebacker Dwayne Maddox. On the positive side, Maddox got to play as a true freshman and even started four games. He was the lone true freshman to make a start on the defensive side of the ball. He finished the year with 32 tackles, 19 of them solo hits, assisted on a tackle for a one-yard loss, pressured the quarterback once and forced and recovered a fumble.
However, Maddox also struggled, and at the end of the season he did not see live action in four of the last five games of the season.
