Virginia landed its 12th commitment of the 2008 class this morning when Norfolk (Va.) Norview High School defensive tackle Klinton Ruff (6-foot-4, 298 pounds, 4.98 seconds) decided to end his recruitment and select the Cavaliers. UVa had come under fire from media outlets from around the state for their lack on in-state commitments. Ruff's pledge is Virginia's first from the Commonwealth.

The three-star defensive lineman said he just felt it was time to make his intentions public.
